Steams Buffer

This part of the memory is optional and is created through the STREAMS_POOL_SIZE parameter. The purpose of this memory area is to store logical changes that occur in the database, such as changes that happen to tables through operations. These logical changes differ from physical changes, which are stored in the Redo Log Buffer.
We know that all changes that occur in the database are temporarily stored in the Redo Log Buffer as physical changes. However, the Streams Pool stores logical changes that can be applied to the tables at a later time.
